In the vineyards

Winter was very humid and spring took off with difficulty.
In spite of some heat peaks, on the whole the temperatures remain low and the vegetation grows in spurts.
We can spot one spreading leaf, or at best two, can be seen in the precocious whites.
The soil is sodden and the grass greatly benefits from these conditions.
We have hardly seen any night-moths and "boarmies" (caterpillars) up to now. However, we still keep an eye on the late vines which are an easy prey for these voracious caterpillars.
